Senior forward Justin Leon scored 18 points and made a career-high four 3-pointers to help No. 17 Florida post a 71-62 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday in SEC play at Gainesville, Fla.

Senior reserve guard Canyon Barry added 12 points to help the Gators (20-5, 10-2 SEC) record their sixth straight victory. Junior center John Egbunu contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds and junior reserve point guard Chris Chiozza added 11 points and five assists for the Gators.
Freshman forward Robert Williams matched his season high of 18 points and also had 12 rebounds, four blocked shots and three steals for the Aggies (13-11, 5-7). Senior center Tyler Davis added 12 points and eight rebounds and sophomore guard Admon Gilder had 12 points and matched his career high of five steals for Texas A&M.
The Aggies were hurt by 20 turnovers and were just 4 of 18 from 3-point range.
Texas A&M held a 40-36 lead after Davis converted a three-point play with 12:23 remaining before the Gators responded with a 12-2 burst. Barry hit a floater to push Florida ahead, Leon added a 3-pointer and sophomore guard KeVaughn Allen ended the stretch with a steal and breakaway layup to give the Gators a 48-42 edge with 9:19 left.
Barry drained a 3-pointer to give Florida a 53-45 lead with 7:59 to play. The advantage reached 10 when Chiozza drained a 3-pointer with 3:35 remaining.
Leon buried a 3-pointer to push the margin to 65-52 with 3:02 remaining and the Aggies were unable to mount a final charge.
Florida controlled the first 13 1/2 minutes of the contest but led just 29-27 at the break.
The Aggies trailed 16-13 after Davis' basket with 10:52 left in the half before the Gators rattled off the next eight points. Allen connected on a 3-pointer and followed with a conventional three-point play and Egbunu slammed home a dunk to make it an 11-point margin.
Texas A&M answered with seven straight points and 14 of the next 17 to forge a tie. Gilder scored nine points during the surge, including the final seven, ending with a tying 3-pointer.
Barry hit two free throws with 26 seconds left to give the Gators the two-point halftime advantage.
NOTES: The Gators won their previous five games by an average of 28 points during. ...
